Increase Your Time with God

Samuel Official · May 24, 2026 ·

I wanted to post this beautiful and inspirational testimony about the importance of praying, reading your bible, and consecrating yourself to The Lord. I remember watching the testimony years ago and finally found it again so may it edifies your faith as well. Amen.

The message encourages believers to live a deeply consecrated life of prayer, vigilance, and devotion to Jesus, warning that spiritual “snakes” such as sin, addiction, depression, and worldly burdens can enter a person’s life when they are spiritually distracted or unguarded. The speaker shares testimonies—including a Muslim man transformed by a simple scripture tract and a personal vision of a demonic snake bite—to illustrate how spiritual attacks are real but powerless against those who remain anchored in Christ. Drawing from Scripture, especially Paul’s encounter with the viper in Acts and Jesus’ promise in Mark 16, the message emphasizes that nothing from the enemy can ultimately harm God’s children when they stay in prayer, holiness, and the fire of the Holy Spirit. It concludes with a heartfelt prayer for protection, strength, repentance, and deeper communion with God, urging believers to stay alert, stay holy, and support one another as the return of Jesus draws near.

Praise the Lord how is everybody uh I greet you all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray you all have been doing good.

I know I have taken a small break and I just thought of doing this quick video. This is not my usual video where I inspire saints with the Word of God, but this is just a formal hello‑hi video because I know it’s been some time since I have been away from you all.

I am doing well. I was suffering very deeply in my body and I thank God for your prayers. If it was not for your prayers I would not have made it and that’s the truth. I just want to tell you all thank you so much for your prayers, for your emails, your mails, your messages, all of that you have sent me. Some of you have gotten very desperate and you would send me many mails. Without prayer I would not be able to stand here or even speak to you. I really thought there was a point in my life where I thought that this is the ending, I’m just done, I would not be coming back. But that just tells you how important prayer is. That just tells you how important bearing each other’s burden is.

When the Pharisees and the Sadducees came to the Lord and they tried to trick Him by asking Him a question: what is the greatest commandment? The Lord, knowing their trickery, answered them: the greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind. And He said the second commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself.

Loving neighbor as yourself is something we don’t do much or we don’t understand the depth of it. Loving somebody else is also praying for somebody else like they were your family, your children, your lost spouse, your lost relative. When you love God with all your heart you basically have no space in your heart for anything else or anybody else. So that is a deep mystery in that statement as well.

So thank you so much. Especially I thank God for adding another year in my life. Didn’t think I would make it. The day I was born was not an easy day; you know, I would have lost my mother to postpartum bleeding.

So brothers and sisters, I wanted to share certain encounters that I had these few months that I was gone—encounters mostly with people that I think shaped my life and helped me more to stay on course. And I think it would enrich you and motivate you and help you to be a reminder from the Holy Spirit that if my brother and sister can do it, I surely can do it. And many times when we see others do it, we find it as a motivation in our life that we want to do it as well.

So I came across this white American elderly mother who lives a life of simplicity and devotion. She’s retired, she has kids who are grown up, and she is a widow, so she definitely has a lot of time, right? But the reason I said she’s white is because sometimes people from other continents—I will talk about Asia—Asians sometimes have a hidden pride that there is nobody in this whole world who could pray like us, who could fast like us, who are devoted like us. And sometimes we view the European and the American brothers and sisters with the eye of sarcasm and looking down on them because we think we are so holy.

This elderly mother lives a lifestyle of prayer, and I came to find out that she prays for 16 hours—16, one‑six. Yes, she’s a widow, yes she has children who are grown up, yes she’s a retiree, she has a lot of time. I wonder if you and I were in that position, would we still pray for 16 hours? And another thing is she reads not less than 30 chapters of the Word of God every day—30. Sometimes we can’t pray for 16 minutes. We sometimes can’t even read 30 verses of the Bible every day.

A woman, a white elderly lady who is living a lifestyle of this consecration—she lives in the spiritual world. She was sharing her experiences: how the moment she closes her eyes, she’s taken into the heavenly realms. Sometimes she is walking in her garden, she takes one, two, three—the third, fourth step—and while she’s taking it, she’s entering into the portal of the heavenly portal. She was like, “I was walking in my garden and boom,” she’s entering into the heavenly garden.

When you live a lifestyle of abandonment, the Lord is going to reward you, because it says in the book of Hebrews that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. May we be like that. May we seek the Lord like that.

I receive letters sometimes saying, “Sister, I did my part of praying and fasting. I still am addicted, I still have this burden, I still am into depression, I still have suicidal tendencies.” I had that question when I was an immature Christian. And this mother in faith told me one time—and after that I never asked this question again. I said, “Well, I pray, I fast, why am I falling into temptation? Why am I getting addicted to things I should not be addicted to? Why am I sinning when I can’t stop myself from sinning? I’m praying, I’m a pastor’s daughter.” All of those examples were given to this woman of God.

And she told me—not this elderly mother but another woman of God—she told me one time: when in spite of praying and in spite of fasting you still are falling into sin or if you’re still attacked by the enemy, that tells you that your prayer and your fasting is not enough. I may pray one time and be delivered, but you may require to pray more.

Our Father in heaven has a bar for each person. Maybe you can pray one time, maybe she has to pray ten times, or maybe she requires more effort because our missions and commissions in life are different.

So we may say, “Well, she was doing nothing and God came and gave her visions of heaven and earth, and she was just lying under the palm tree and sleeping, and angels came and took her to heaven.” Very true. “I’m waking up at five o’clock in the morning and praying and nothing is happening, and I’m doing it for months and nothing is happening.” Very true. But the bar that the Lord has kept for each one of us is different. Our calling is different. Our commission is different.

So we cannot compare. Just like in a family—I can’t compare my life with my brother. I always thought he was loved more than me anyway, and he thinks I am loved more than him. So there is always this subconscious comparison. And we tend to compare ourselves in the body of Christ, in the church of God, with our brothers and sisters as well. That should not be done.

“Well, you have this and you didn’t do anything and you got it”—that should not be done. And it’s a good thing if the Lord is taking us through this hard road of testing and trying and being impatient. It teaches us humility. The more we take circles around this mountain, it is going to teach us humility. It is going to teach us virtues that cannot be taught in a classroom.

If by prayer and fasting and supplication you say that you are still addicted, still having attacks from the enemy, that is because you have to get to a level where you rise above your enemy’s attacks.

And you know, I forgot to mention the reason why I went to this other sister was: I was attacked by night demons—paralysis, sleep paralysis—and this was a nightmare where I was so scared to go to sleep. So I do believe that there is a reason why the Lord allowed me to go through that pathway—because He wanted me to bump up my game. He wanted me to amplify my prayer. He wanted me to be more dedicated in prayer, more consecrated in prayer. So that is one clue that I wanted to say.

Sometimes—there’s a second story that I wanted to encourage you with. It is the story of Brother Mohammed Ajaz. He is a Telugu Indian brother, and I think I have given this testimony to some of my brothers and sisters who have written to me because I feel it will motivate the listener who is listening to it. I will try to add a link so that you can be motivated as well.

Brother Mohammed Ajaz was a very devout Muslim who had only eyes for Allah, and every other religion was heresy for him—until he came to a point in his life where he wanted to commit suicide. He had decided in his life, “That’s it, I’m going to end my life.” And he went and sat under a tree before he committed suicide.

And this is how powerful your tracts are, brothers and sisters—those who are giving tracts. I want to encourage you. No tracts wasted, none. I believe during the judgment day your tracts will stand up and speak for the ones who did not accept the Lord. So never think that they are always… you know what happened in the life of Brother Edwards? He went and sat under a tree, and under the tree somebody stuck a scripture on the tree. Think about this crazy idea — you’re sitting and you’re seeing a scripture on the tree, and it said that your sorrows will be made to joy. It didn’t even have, I believe, a scripture at the bottom. And he said the sorrows will be made to joy, and those words spoke to him and told him that he needed to go back home.

Long story short, when you listen to his story, you will see how he encountered the Lord Jesus. Because he, as a devout Muslim, always knew a life of piety and devotion, because they pray very deeply. This man prayed like 20–30 times a day. And how can the Lord not come when you pray like that, right? Let that be our baseline.

When you live a life consecrated and dedicated to the Lord, you are not going to sin. Sin keeps you from praying, and praying keeps you from sinning. I pray that the Lord helps you to surrender to Him completely and totally.

Please don’t get distracted after prayers. What happens is after we pray, we want to stay in that room for hours. But after praying, when we get out of our prayer room… our mind starts getting distracted and we start thinking about all about all the burdens of the world other than the Lord Jesus.

At all times our mind has to be focused on Him every… every second of the day, every moment. Sometimes what happens is we have this tangentiality — we think about one thing, then it goes to another thing, then another. What you do is you just steer it back and make it come to this narrow path. It is a daily sacrifice. It doesn’t naturally come; you have to force it to come and say, “I’m going to concentrate on the Lord.”

Have a habit of either singing songs or praying by your mouth. I have personally learned that when you’re listening to music, your mind can still get distracted. It is very hard to get distracted if you are praying always. It is very hard to get distracted if you are singing always. You are forcing yourself to concentrate on Jesus.

Look into ways that you force yourself to concentrate on Jesus. Very soon it will become a habit, and then you don’t even want to think about something else. You don’t even want to speak to anybody else. And you will very soon understand the value of spending time with the Lord Jesus.

Try Writing to Christ Jesus

I end with this, dear beloved Christian: there are snakes in your backyard. Here in this backyard we had a snake slithering a few months ago. What happens is when you are not watching, the enemy comes and sows tares. You have to keep alert and vigilant that your boundaries are secured, your garden is secure, your yard is secured. If you let the enemy come one time, he will have the legal right to come.

What snake is slithering in your backyard? Is it addiction? Is it pornography? Is it depression? Is it suicidal tendency? Is it burdens of this world? Is it financial crisis? Is it relationship issues? Is it not having love? Is it rejection? Is it not being sure about your future? What is the snake that is slithering in your backyard?

If you give it permission to grow in your backyard, it is very soon going to come into your house and bite you.

And I will tell you one single encounter that I recently had, and this motivated me so much, and I hope you see it in a good light and with a pure heart. One day when I was sleeping, I saw a vision that there was a certain demonic realm doing witchcraft against me, and a snake came and bit my leg. It was so painful that I jumped out of my bed in pain, and my leg was burning. I knew what happened in the spiritual realm — I could feel it in the physical realm.

I said, “Lord, I am your child. I live a holy life. I am sanctified. In fact, I’m more close to you now than I was ten years ago. Why did this come and hit me? What came and bit me here?”

Please understand: it is the same principle. When a slithering snake — either witchcraft or depression or whatever I just said — comes and bites you, the same thing happened to Saint Paul in the book of Acts. When he went into the island of Malta, a viper — one of the deadliest snakes — fastened around his hand and bit him. The Scriptures clearly say it bit him. The islanders were watching to see what would happen because they knew the poisonous snake bit him. They were waiting for him to die.

What happened was the man of God just shook it into the fire, and nothing happened. Even if snakes bite you, nothing will happen. After some time, when the islanders saw that nothing was happening, the judgment they gave him — that he was a sinner — suddenly became, “Oh, this man is a saint, a man of God. Look at him, he has divine properties.”

The Lord talks to us in the book of Mark, I believe chapter 16, where He says that you will pick up snakes with your hand, and if you drink deadly poison, it will not harm you. The Lord is crystal clear: things that come from the demonic realm and try to hurt you are not going to hurt you. It doesn’t matter what bit you.

After I got bitten by the snake in this physical realm, the Lord said, “Go and shake it in the fire of the Holy Spirit as you are going to pray right now.” So that’s what I did. Anything that comes across in whatever realm, I am going to shake it in the fire of the Holy Spirit, and I’m going to have my victory in the Lord Jesus — not because I am great, but because He is merciful. Not because I am faithful, but because He is faithful. Not because I am righteous — my righteousness is filthy rags — but because His righteousness is perfect, and His power is made perfect in our weakness.

I hope and pray that you cut the head of the serpent through prayer, consecrated life, sanctified life, a devoted life. The Lord Jesus is coming very soon. His coming is so soon that you can hear Him turning the doorknobs of heaven, almost walking on the clouds, coming to receive you and me into the kingdom of heaven.

May we live a life consecrated to Him every second, every minute, every day of our life. Even when we are not talking to each other, may we know that you are praying for me and I am praying for you, and that we are living our life consecrated for the glory of our Lord.

I wish you well, and I pray that you all are blessed in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Loving Heavenly Father, we come into Your presence, and I thank You for this opportunity that You have given us, Lord, after a long time, to come and commune together on this online platform. Father, thank You for Your mercies that You have kept my brothers and sisters safe wherever they are.

Lord Jesus, I ask You that Your presence go through the airwaves, the sound waves, into their realms, into their families. Whatever they are facing — problems, pain, agony, untold and unspeakable pain, unspoken challenges — that You will encounter them and give them the answer. The answer to it all is the Lord Yeshua.

Father, I ask You that You give them peace and comfort and joy and happiness — a happiness that only comes from You. Even when we have burdens of this world, Lord, You said, “Fear not, for I have overcome this world.” Trials and tribulations are just another reason to get closer to You.

Father, I commit every brother and every sister who is watching this video right now, and I ask You, my Father, that You anoint each one of them with the Holy Spirit. Father, keep them close to Your heart — tight, close to Your heart — that they never wander away from Your presence. And even if they wander away, they come right back to You, repenting, washing themselves in the blood of the Lamb. Because the blood of the Lamb of God neutralizes the poison of the viper. It is only the Lamb of God who can neutralize the poison of the deadliest snake.

You are our anti‑venom. You are the anti‑venom. And that is the reason why, Father, strengthen us with that anti‑venom — that power of the living God — that when a snake bites, he dies, and I am secured in the hands of the Lord.

Thank You, Father, for the time that You gave us — more time in prayer, more time in communion with You, more time in that secret place. Thank You, Abba Father. Thank You, Yeshua. Thank You, HaKodesh. We love You, we love You, we love You. We ask this prayer in the name of Your only begotten Son, Yeshua HaMashiach. Hear us, Elohim. Ameen.

Love you all. Bless you. Till next time, stay holy, stay rupturable, pray for each other. Shalom.
