The Parable of the Ten Bridesmaids (Part I of the Bride)

Samuel Official · March 1, 2026 ·

The Parable of the 10 Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13): Getting Prepared for Christ

Part 1 includes a serious testimony about The Lord giving a warning about your anointing or the lack thereof, which can leave you in the outer darkness. People rarely talk about being a bride if they’re single and somewhat forget that this is related to YOUR relationship with the Lord thy God. Without this relationship or anointing, you may be without salvation that’s not possible in hellfire. It’s that serious that in part 2, I will include additional PDF’s and information related to The Bridegroom of Eternal Life. Amen

The following testimony teaches that every believer is responsible for maintaining their spiritual “oil”—a symbol of consecration, devotion, and ongoing relationship with God. It warns that many Christians live on old momentum, continuing outward religious activity while their inner spiritual reserve is empty. Oil is gained through worship, prayer, fasting, meditation, and spiritual discipline, but lost through complacency, distraction, and neglect. Like the foolish virgins, believers who fail to replenish their oil risk being unprepared when Christ returns, symbolized by the shut door. The testimony urges self‑examination, renewed consecration, and intentional spiritual maintenance, emphasizing that each person has the capacity and responsibility to “buy oil” now—before it is too late.

THE BRIDE NEED OIL IN HER LAMP FOR THE RAPTURE

At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like 10 virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

At midnight the cry rang out: “Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!” The five foolish virgins symbolize imprudent believers. Fifty percent of Christians are in danger of missing the Rapture according to this prophecy. This is because of the lack of oil in their reserve. The third verse of this passage highlights the issue of the lamp without oil and maintenance. In truth, the lamp of the foolish virgin continued to give light even when there was no reserve of oil for the present and future.

THE MEANING OF OIL AND CONSECRATION

Understand that the more our lamp is shining and giving light to this world, the more oil we need because our reserve is diminishing. When their reserve of oil was diminishing, the foolish virgins failed to take measures in terms of replenishing the reserve with more oil from time to time. In biblical times, oil also symbolized consecration. We cannot just rely on the old reserve of oil and provision. We should not rely on past experiences with God.

The saints that will miss the Rapture are the ones who relied on old reserves of oil, old experiences and encounters with God—what God has done in the past, like the newness of life and the baptism of water, and old exploits for the kingdom of God. In truth, when we do great things for the kingdom of God and when the Lord uses us, He resorts to the oil that is in our reserve. As a result, the level of oil in the reserve diminishes and needs to be increased again. We need to replenish the reserve with more oil.

WHY MANY BELIEVERS RUN OUT OF OIL

This is what many of the saints fail to grasp. We fail to realize that we need more consecration in fasting and prayer in order to store more oil for the present and future. But the saints are ignorant about the management of oil. The foolish virgins missed the bridegroom because of their inability to manage the oil in their reserve. When the reserve was empty, they did not take measures to buy oil and refill the reserve even if they had money.

Today the believer is failing to sustain his walk with the Lord. When his oil goes down, he does not perform consecration to fill his reserve again with oil and cannot sustain his spiritual life because of lack of consecration and devotion. His reserve of oil is empty. There is no oil for the next step on the gravitation stair.

SPIRITUAL UPDATING AND RENEWAL

Filling our vessel with oil is synonymous with upgrading our spiritual man—the update of our walk with the Lord. If you don’t update your current version, you will have to work with an old configuration while the system is already modernized and updated. Without new oil resulting from consecration, there will not be renewal, renaissance, and rejuvenation of our spirit. When we update a system, there are add‑ons that optimize and modernize the old configuration. This is what is supposed to happen in a Christian life—it must constantly experience renewal and update.

WHO WILL MISS THE RAPTURE?

Who are the ones that will miss the Rapture? It’s the believer who failed to update his Christian life in order to add more updates. I remember a pilot who told me about the navigation system of a plane. He said any flying craft or plane, after 50 hours of flying, must go through checkup. Interlocking parts and gear parts should be reviewed, if possible changed, to prevent crash.

Few Christians function this way. They try to walk with God but they don’t behave like David who said, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” This is what we call retrospection or self‑checkup. We must evolve but also evaluate ourselves. Unless we perform maintenance and control of our Christian life, we will miss the Rapture.

FAILURE TO SELF‑CHECK AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

The foolish virgins missed the bridegroom because of failure to perform self‑checkup. Some of them knew that their oil in the reserve was decreasing. Some of them failed to check the quantity of oil in their life. Since oil is consecration, these saints were not checking their level of consecration, their level of devotion. When their level of prayer and meditation decreased, when their commitment to a life of fasting and prayer decreased and was falling apart, they did not take measures. When their commitment to a life of renunciation was eroding, they did not take measures.

Because of complacency, lack of vigilance, and imprudence, they failed to perform consecration in order to fill their reserve. They failed to buy oil in time. They had money, but they did not go to the seller to buy oil. The Lord said to the Laodicean church, “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich, and white garments that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.”

Brother, you have the capacity to increase the oil in your reserve. The Bible talks about the foolish bride who lacks oil, anointing, and consecration to God. It is written, “You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness… anointing you with the oil of joy” (Hebrews 1:9).

HOW OIL IS RECEIVED

When we harness and mobilize ourselves to do sacred works like worship, prayer, listening to Spirit‑filled sermons, meditating on the Word, doing intercession, etc., our spirit man becomes a receiver and vessel of the oil of the Holy Spirit. The weak in spirit and mind are those who are not used to exercising spiritually during the day. They are defective receivers like the five foolish virgins who are sleepy all the time and do not have oil in their vessels. There is the absence of dreams and night visions in them. The devil knows this, and that is why he keeps us busy with mundane things, for he worries lest we become receivers and transmitters of the power of God.

LAMPS SHINING WITHOUT OIL

So the lamps of these five foolish brides were lit even if their oil was running out in the reserve. Meaning your lamp can be shining when you no longer have oil. In truth, the lamp is about to go out. The lamp of the foolish virgins went out the moment the bridegroom came. The saints are running this risk of walking with God with lamps that are going out. These lamps are lit, but they are about to go out in a few minutes. The lamp is still lit thanks to old momentum, but there is no oil in the reserve. The more the light continues to be lit, the more it loses momentum.

Many believers are moving with old momentum and continue to move, yet they have lost velocity. Many are still in the Lord, but they lost their first love. They go to church and serve, but not like before, because the oil has decreased and the lamp is about to go out. It’s like when you unplug a fan that was turning at great speed—it still continues to turn for a few minutes despite being disconnected. It’s like a plane that has lost its engine—it still continues to fly for a few minutes.

SIGNS OF LOW OIL

Many saints have lost the pace because of failure to maintain the reserve of oil that has diminished. Let us refill the reserve with oil and update our walk with the Lord. Beloved, when you lose oil in your lamp, you lose spiritual weight. You begin to lose your daily devotion of prayer and meditation. That will begin to fall apart. The habit of prayer and time spent in God’s presence will become difficult. You begin to tolerate what you refused in the past. Signs of negligence in prayer and personal devotion indicate that your oil has diminished. When you notice that you are spending less time in prayer, you must take measures because the oil is down.

FAILURE TO BUY OIL

Many have lost devotion and consecration. Brother, you have enough money to buy oil—meaning you can acquire oil when you want. Instead of begging other saints to give you oil, you want to depend on brothers and sisters, asking them for oil when you have enough money to buy oil. You should have bought oil a long time ago, but you refused to take disposition. These are the kind of people who will miss the Rapture.

THE DOOR THAT SHUTS

The foolish ones said to the wise, “Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.” “No,” they replied, “there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.” There is still time to buy oil, for when the bridegroom comes, it will be late. But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut.

Later the others also came. “Lord, Lord,” they said, “open the door for us!” But he replied, “Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.” Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

A CALL TO RETURN TO CONSECRATION

The degree of consecration has decreased and you know it. You no longer read the Bible and you no longer fast and pray. You know it and feel it. Let’s put our life in order and take precautionary measures; otherwise… (consequences/hell🔥)

The Parable of the 10 Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13)

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom; five were wise, and five were foolish—the foolish took no oil, but the wise took oil in their vessels; at midnight there was a cry, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; and they that were ready went in to the marriage, and the door was shut; to the others he said, I know you not; therefore, Watch, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man who delivered unto his servants five talents, two, and one, according to their ability; the faithful servants traded and gained more, and heard, Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy lord; but the one who was afraid and hid his talent was called wicked and slothful, and the unprofitable servant was cast into outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth; for unto every one that hath shall be given abundance, but from him that hath not shall be taken away. When the Son of man shall come in his glory with the holy angels, he shall sit upon the throne of his glory, gather all nations, and separate the sheep from the goats; to the sheep he will say, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you; for I was hungry, thirsty, a stranger, naked, sick, and in prison, and ye ministered unto me; and Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me; but to those on the left he will say, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, for Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me; and these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into life eternal.
